Oh so much ACTION!!!
There are some bad vamps in town. So bad that all other vampires are scared of them. The Harlequin. They send warnings in the form of masks. Anita just so happens to receive one of these masks while on a a date with Nathaniel, (they just can't take her anywhere, can they?)
The power that connects Jean-Claude, Anita and Richard increases drastically with some interesting results. There is the return of some characters that we haven't seen in a while, in the forms of Edward, Peter, Olaf and not forgetting the Cookie Monster better known as Haven (I'm with Anita on this one, Cookie Monster is a much better name!). Oh and Dolph makes an appearance.
There are an awful lot of near death experiences in this book and some not so near death. Anita and most the other characters seem to spend a lot of time in the hospital in this one.
I really don't want to give anything away, but I will say that what happens between Richard and Anita at the end is going to have some major effects later on. So you really need to read this!
