So I discovered this book when looking at the Giveaways section here on Goodreads.
I really didn't know what to expect when I pick this up the other day, but I was very happy with what I got. This book was really great! A quick read (I read it over two evenings), it was fast paced with some good action scenes. The characters were really engaging, and had a good dialogue going on between them, that also gives you a sense of what their characters are like. This certainly put it's own twist on the supernatural genre, and importantly, it made it believable.
This book introduced what could be a very engaging series. I wish this book had been longer so I didn't finish it so fast! I can't wait to get my hands on the next one to see how the characters and their relationships with each other develop. I like that this has been set up as a series with an underlying story arc surrounding the main character's past, as well as having the individual cases being the focus.
I totally recommend this to anyone that loves a supernatural story that is a quick read and has a bit of mystery thrown in. I loved it.
