So I downloaded this as a freebie, thinking that it was was going to either really good or really bad.
I loved it! This is a really fun little novella that sets up a really different take on the fantasy genre. I liked the characters, that were well written so that they clearly had their own different personalities. The dialogue and chemistry between the characters was great, and helped make them seem more real and believable. The description was also done well and was enough to create a clear picture in your head, without becoming to wordy.
I thoroughly enjoyed this short story. So much so I went and bought the 6 book box set of the series on Amazon, and I can't wait to sink my teeth into them. I totally recommend this to fans of the fantasy genre, that want a real fun read that an introduce them to a new series.
